The Telangana Prohibition Act, 1995
Text as published by India Code for the Government of Telangana (Revenue Department): the Andhra Pradesh Prohibition Act, 1995 as in force in the combined State on 2 June 2014, adapted to Telangana under section 101 of the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2014 by the notification issued in G.O.Ms.No.6, Revenue (Excise-II) Department, dated 06.01.2016, with amendments up to Act No.17 of 2006.
The heading of Chapter IV carries a footnote that cannot be shown with the heading: "Chapter IV consisting of sections 15 and 16 substituted by Act No. 5 of 1997, consisting of section 15."
1[If any person after having been previously convicted of an offence punishable under this Act, subsequently commits and is convicted of an offence punishable under this Act, he shall be liable upto twice the punishment which might be imposed on the first conviction under this Act.]
