High Court of Karnataka Notification No. HCRB/CJR-9/2026 of 16 April 2026 (Karnataka Gazette) for direct recruitment to 90 posts of Civil Judge, 15 fresh and 75 backlog. Candidates need a law degree and, on the last date for applications, at least three years of continuous practice as an advocate, or three years as a Public Prosecutor, Assistant Public Prosecutor or Government Counsel. Upper age limit 40 years (43 for Categories II(A), II(B), III(A) and III(B), 45 for SC, ST and Category I; three more years for ex-servicemen). Selection is by preliminary examination, main written examination and viva voce; the notification is subject to writ petitions pending before the High Court.
