Written (descriptive) papers, 3 hours each: The Present Day 150 marks; Law I (Substantive Law), Law II (Evidence and Procedure) and Law III (Revenue and Criminal) 200 marks each; Language 100 marks. Questions are printed in Hindi and English.

The Present Day: law and social solidarity, Kelsen's grundnorm, neutrality in the Russia-Ukraine war, the International Criminal Court, the Speaker's powers on defection, the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code 2020, a Uniform Civil Code and Uttarakhand's steps, the 103rd Amendment against M.R. Balaji, Babita Puniya and the rights of aliens. Law I: consideration, sale and agreement to sell, guarantee, easements, Hindu marriage and adoption, Muslim divorce, gifts and guardianship, defamation, partnership, trusts and specific performance. Law II: drafting a plaint and written statement in a cheque dishonour recovery suit, framing issues and writing a judgment, pleadings, second appeal, revision, foreign judgments, execution, admissions and confessions, Section 41A CrPC (Arnesh Kumar), plea bargaining and the rape presumption under the 2013 amendment. Law III: the U.P. Zamindari Abolition and Land Reforms Act as applied in Uttarakhand (bhumidhars, sir land, improvements, ejectment), land revenue, and IPC topics such as abetment, transferred malice, intoxication, sedition and criminal defamation.
